Transom Problems

The lines of the chines and stringers just didn't look right, in fact several people commented on the problem... so, after much measuring, remeasuring, lofting and spreadsheet calcs, I finally decided there was no alternative but to cut out the existing transom.
Interestingly, the chines sprung inwards about 20mm when I did this.
The new transom is nearly ready to go in, and I'm taking the opportunity to lengthen the boat by a modest 150mm. This will allow for more generous proportions on the transom stairs, and make the overall boat about 9.7m (31' 10")
